BROWNE, Anna
Anna Elizabeth Browne was born at Ipswich in 1863, daughter of George Browne, paper bag manufacturer, and his wife Anna. In 1881, Anna was a 16 [sic] year old living at 29 Woodhouse Street, Ipswich with her parents, 40-year-old George, born Stowmarket, Suffolk and 40-year-old Anna, born Coddenham, Suffolk and her two siblings. A member of the Ipswich Art Club 1886-1888 and in 1886 exhibited from The Hythe, Colchester, a watercolour 'Rabbits' but does not seem to have exhibited in other years. She is the Annie Elizabeth Browne who married at Ipswich in 1889, Herbert James Brown and died at Colchester in 1892, aged 28.
