BUCHAN, Gwynedd Llewelyn

1899 - 1977

As Gwynedd Llewelyn Roberts, she was born at Richmond, Surrey on 2 February 1899 and baptised on 19 March 1899, daughter of Arthur Llewelyn Wynne Roberts (1855-17 October 1919), a secretary to the Royal Literary Fund, and his wife Eleanor Maude Wilton (21 June 1864-17 June 1957), eldest daughter of Dr John Wilton, who married at St Nicholas Church, Epsom, Surrey on 4 August 1887. In 1911, Gwynedd was a 12-year-old, living at 3 Tregunter Road, Kensington, London with her parents, 55-year-old Arthur Llewelyn and 46-year-old Eleanor Maude, with one of her two siblings, 20-year-old brother Beaver Roberts, an architect, her other sibling was Wilton Llewellyn (13 June 1888-24 January 1977). Gwynedd married firstly at St Mary the Boltons, Kensington on 2 January 1919, Capt. Graham Morgan and as Gwynedd Llewelyn Morgan, she married secondly at Westminster, London in 1937, Thomas Ogilvie Malcolm Buchan (11 July 1892-6 August 1974), who was a major in the Army. In 1939, they were living at 167 Rivermead Court, Fulham, London. A member of the Ipswich Art Club 1964-1971 and exhibited from 'Salamander', Assington Road, Bures St Mary, Suffolk in 1963, an oil painting 'Venetian Canal' and two more the following year 'The Village' and 'Water Meadow, Box Valley'. Gwynedd Llewelyn Buchan died at 3 The Paddocks, Bures on 18 January 1977.
