DAVEY, Maurice Percy
Maurice Percy Davey was born at Epping, Essex on 31 May 1916, son of Percy Arthur Davey (25 August 1886-3 December 1951), a builder, and his wife Laura née Chiswell (18 September 1891-27 December 1976), who married at High Beech Church, Loughton, Essex on 1 May 1913. In 1935 Maurice was living at Rosebank, Connaught Hill, Loughton, Essex and he married at Maldon, Essex in 1956, Betty Smith, Betty Alexander Davey. A member of the Ipswich Art Club from 1969 and exhibited from Rosebank, Gaston End, East Bergholt, Suffolk in 1977, two pictures 'The Stour, Evening' and 'The Stour, Morning Calm' and in 1980 exhibited 'View near East Bergholt' and from the same address in 1990 'Ben Nevis'. Maurice Percy Davey died at Ipswich on 9 February 1997.
