BULLEN, Michael
Michael P. Bullen, initially trained as a surveyor but after giving up this profession, for the next ten years travelled extensively in Africa, Europe and the Far East earning his living as a freelance photographer and as a gardener. At the age of 32, when living in the south of France, Michael took up art and in 1994, as self-taught artist, came to Suffolk where he worked as a professional artist. The inspiration for his painting is the countryside around Saxmundham where he sees around him, the beauty of a sunset or the reflection of the full moon on the sea at night. He has exhibited at Snape Maltings Galleries, the Studio at Walberswick and has a permanent exhibition of his paintings at his studio overlooking The Market Square in Halesworth. He lives in Wickham Market, Suffolk.
