Jenny Pine

As Jennifer Anne Seabrook, she was born in the Bury St Edmund's district of Suffolk in February 1957, daughter of Richard Somes Seabrook (20 August 1931-10 October 1987) and his wife Daphne Ruth Worth (12 March 1932-14 May 2020), daughter of William Worth of Glemsford, Suffolk, who married at All Saints' Parish Church, Hartest, Suffolk on 8 January 1955, a family who have been farming in East Anglia since the 16th century. Throughout secondary school and during her late teens Jenny, as she was knonw, was encouraged and inspired by two excellent teachers, Reg Carr and Gretchen Kiddy. Jenny married at Sudbury in 1978, Edward John Bradley Pine (born 9 November 1953) and paints under the name of Jenny Pine. A fine art course at Kent Institute of Art and Design 2001-2002 re-kindled Jenny’s talent, with an emphasis on the importance of drawing, colour, and observation. She works part-time as a freelance farm business administrator as National Chairman at the Institute of Agricultural Secretaries & Administrators and is co-author of ‘Farm Office Handbook’ (2012). When she is not working on the economics of the countryside, she enjoys capturing the light and atmosphere of the gentle East Anglian landscape around her home at Shimpling, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk.
