As Surinder Hayer, of 1 Avenue Road, Stratford on Avon, she married at Newport, Monmouthshire in 1977, Rowland S. Warboys and works under the name of Surinder Warboys. Surinder studied Fine Art and Stained Glass at Wimbledon School of Art and Newport School of Art in South Wales. A stained-glass artist and conservator, in 2000 she established her glass room studio at Oak Barn, The Common, Mellis, Eye, Suffolk, from where she is committed in achieving excellence in contemporary architectural stained glass, conservation & restoration. Her experience as a conservator has led her to the experimental use of paints and stains that enables her to allude to meteorological and geographical phenomena. Surinder, who is a member of the Contemporary Glass Society, and of the Waveney & Blyth Arts also takes stained glass courses, tailored to suit the individual from beginners to more experienced students wishing to improve skills. A contemporary artist who paints directly onto glass, major commissions have included many public buildings from churches, schools, and hospitals to private houses and she created the stained-glass panel in St Nicholas Hospice Chapel, in Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk.
