TURNER, Isabel Emily

1866 - 1893

Isabel Emily Turner was born at Ipswich on 26 August 1866 and baptised at St Margaret's church Ipswich on 10 October 1866, daughter of Frederick Turner (4 July 1831-28 December 1913), mechanical engineer, and his wife Sophia née Harrison, who married at Lambeth Parish Church, London on 14 May 1862. In 1881, a Isabel was a 14-year-old scholar living at 17 Henley Road Ipswich with her father, 49-year-old Frederick, her sibling sister 18-year-old Marion, with two indoor servants. As Miss 'J'. E. Turner, a member of the Ipswich Fine Art Club 1887-1893 and as Miss I. Turner, exhibited from 31 Henley Road in 1887, 'Bob' and 'A Portrait'. In 1891, a 24-year-old boarder at 44 Ventnor Villas, Hove, Dorset. Isabel Emily Turner was of Parkside, Westerfield Road, Ipswich and touring Switzerland when she contracted diphtheria and died at Thun, Switzerland on 2 August 1893 and buried back at Ipswich Cemetery on 7 August 1893, she was unmarried.
