WARD, Jenny
As Jeanne Hilda Ward, she was born at Marylebone, London on 29 April 1928, daughter of Philip Ward (19 July 1905-2004), a general labourer, and his wife Vera Hilda Lane (4 May 1904-1983), who married at Hendon in 1927. In 1939, Jenny, as she was known, was living at 116 Clitterhouse Road, Hendon, Middlesex, with her parents and her sister Irene Elizabeth (13 May 1930-2001). An associate member of the Ipswich Art Club 1944-1945 and exhibited in 1944, three oils 'Cottage Roses', 'Somerset Landscape' and 'Flower Painting' and a pen drawing 'The Hill Farm' and was also a member of the Colchester Art Society. Jenny married at Hendon, Middlesex in 1951, Henry B. Smith. Jeanne Hilda Smith died at Stevenage, Hertfordshire in 2006.
