FIELD, William Gregory
William Gregory Field was born at Willesden, London on 23 January 1923 but baptised at Widnes St Paul, Liverpool on 11 February 1923, son of John Baxter Field (1 August 1894-1966), a watchman, and his wife Dorothy née Morris (2 August 1886-1867), who married at Widnes St Paul, Lancashire on 2 August 1920. In 1939, William was a workshop assistant in scientific instruments, living at 5 Viaduct Street, Widnes, Lancashire with his parents. A member of Ipswich Art Club in 1977 when he exhibited from Kinruth, 22 Quinton's Corner, East Bergholt, Suffolk 'Reflections' and the following year 'Cutter's Lane, East Bergholt' and in 1980 he exhibited from the same address 'Merci'. William Gregory Field died at East Bergholt in April 1992.
