NEWELL, Dorothy
As Dorothy Frearson, she was born at Leicester in 1923, daughter of Archibald Frearson (10 July 1888-1974), a caretaker inland revenue office, and his wife Ada Mabel née Hills (3 April 1893-1969), who married at Leicester in 1919 and in 1939 were living at 52 Ellesmere Road, Leicester. Dorothy married at Leicester in 1950, Harold Mark Newell (March 1921-29 March 2012), a market gardener, and were the parents of Tricia Newell. As Dorothy Newell, she exhibited two untitled paintings at the Ipswich Art Club from 30 Jackson Road, Newbourne, Woodbridge, Suffolk in 1979. Dorothy Newell died on 20 September 2010.
