SHUTTLEWORTH, Ruth Luya
As Ruth Luya Cunningham, she was born at Epping, Essex on 12 August 1921, daughter of Daniel Cunningham (28 January 1885-29 October 1966), ship owner's manager, and his wife Clare Houston née Reeve (13 April 1895-11 September 1985), who married at St Mary the Virgin, Walthamstow, Essex on 7 September 1918 and in 1939 were living at 11 Eglington Road, Chingford, London. Ruth married at Epping, Essex in 1951, Vernon Robert Shuttleworth (27 December 1917-7 October 2003), an electrical engineer, and they are the parents of both Ruth Shuttleworth and Cathie Shuttleworth. A member of the Ipswich Art Club from Hill Farm, Stoke Ash, Eye, Suffolk and exhibited in 1985, three paintings 'Landscape with Tree', 'Still Life' and 'Summertime' and in 1997 had on show 'The Mulberry Tree' and 'Our Lane in Winter'. Ruth Luya Shuttleworth died at The Depperhaugh, Hoxne, Eye, Suffolk on 30 August 2000.
