Stanley Reeve

Stanley Cyril Reeve was born at Norwich on 30 January 1903, third and youngest son of Thomas Sidney Reeve (25 October 1873-26 September 1957), a coach smith, and his wife Alice Louisa Davies (4 September 1871-1948), daughter of Thomas Davies late of Diss, who married at Princes Street Congregational Church, Norwich on 26 March 1894. In 1911, Stanley was an 8-year-old, living at 69 Cambridge Street, Norwich with his parents, 37-year-old Thomas and 39-year-old Alice, with three siblings, Russell Sidney Reeve and Clarence Victor Reeve and Ivy May Reeve 3 and 1921, 18 year old Stanley was a student teacher still living at 69 Cambridge Street, Norwich with his parents but shortly after the moved to West Cottage, Sproughton just outside Ipswich. Stanley married at Ipswich in 1926, Kathleen May Office (13 May 1905-27 April 1985). Stanley was a schoolteacher from 1923 and registered from Saxmundham, Suffolk in 1933 and was head of Snape Village school and first headmaster of Framlingham Area School 1937-1940 and of Kesgrave High School from 1940, only leaving Framlingham to be nearer to a hospital to be able to look after his handicapped daughter in the difficult circumstances of wartime. In 1939, a schoolmaster and a special constable, living at 20 Mount Pleasant, Framlingham, Suffolk with his wife Kathleen and new-born only child Gillian Kathleen (8 January 1939-1962). An exhibitor at the Ipswich Art Society from 18 Bromeswell Road, Ipswich in 1990 'Bridge over River Finn, Tuddenham'. In old age, the author of memoirs 'Stanley Reeve Recalls.' (1995). Stanley Cyril Reeve died at Ipswich on 17 January 1997.
