SHERWIN, Kenneth Arthur
Kenneth Arthur Sherwin was born at Erith, Kent on 15 June 1909, son of Walter James Sherwin (1 October 1869-1 November 1949), a bank clerk, and his wife Alice Minnie née Cooke (28 August 1880-4 September 1962), who married at Woolwich, Kent in 1907and in 1939 were living at 31 Burnham Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex. In 1911, Kenneth was a 1-year-old, living at 7 Warwick Terrace, Plumstead, London with his parents, 41-year-old Walter, born Maldon, Essex and 30-year-old Alice, born Woolwich, Kent and in 1921 were living at 19 Seaview Road, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. In 1928 Kenneth was an apprentice at the Hydraulic Coupling Co. Ltd., Isleworth, Middlesex. He married at Lewisham, London in 1939, Lilian Mary Day (14 June 1909-23 June 1995) when an engineer in ICI chemical works, living at 37 The Croft, Fluin Lane, Frodsham, Runcorn, Cheshire with his wife Lilian. Kenneth and he later worked for Fisons Chemical Works at Ipswich. An exhibitor at the Suffolk Art Society from Lodge Cottage, Tattingstone, Ipswich in 1990 'Narcissus with Mirror'. His wife died at 27 Chaplin Road, East Bergholt, Suffolk in 1995 and Kenneth Arthur Sherwin died at Ipswich on 22 March 2002.
