McKENZIE, Ian

Ian D. McKenzie has been a pastel artist since about 2002 and the immediacy and contrasting colours of this vibrant medium compliments his style of painting. Ian is drawn to studying people and places striving to attain a more loose and colourful approach to his work. He works from his studio at Oak Cottage, Low Green Cottages, Sotterley, Beccles, Suffolk and, together with Doreen Abel, run Abel Art Gallery at the Raveningham Centre, Beccles Road, Raveningham on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. More recently they have moved to Lowestoft, Suffolk and has exhibited at the Ferrini Art Gallery, Pakefield, Lowestoft, Suffolk.
