CHESTNUTT, Judith
As Judith Ann Harrison, she married at Liverpool North in 1963, Christopher Chestnutt and is the mother of Moyra Scott and, as Harrison, of photographer Michael Harrison Chestnutt (born 1971). Judith trained as a teacher and her qualifications include a distinction in City and Guilds Embroidery and a post-graduate diploma in art education (textiles). Her 'Junk Mail' series, portrays, in abstract form, the Suffolk Sea and landscapes but on closer inspection, evidence of the original papers and printing can be seen. Lettering is embedded in the images and colour comes from the original fibres. A paper maker and textile artist and a member of Textile Art Group Suffolk and Suffolk Open Studios with a studio at Annesley House, Boot Street, Great Bealings, Woodbridge, Suffolk.
