KENT, Steven
Steven Richard Kent was born at Watford, Hertfordshire in 1971, son of David J. Kent and his wife Maureen A. née Taylor, who married at Repton, Derbyshire in 1966 and the family moved to Suffolk in 1983. Steven studied at the University of Westminster from where gained a B.A. (hons) in English Literature in 2001 and an M.A. in 2006 but decided to pursue his childhood ambition and become a professional artist. A self-taught artist in acrylic on traditional stretched canvas working on a range of subjects including landscapes, portraits, pet portraits and figurative work. His studio is at 6 Streetfield Close, Shimpling, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk and his work has been exhibited in many local galleries and his acrylic painting 'The Market Square' was exhibited at the ‘Visions of Sudbury’ at St Peter's church Sudbury in 2007.
