Annette Ashton

Annette Ashton is a self-taught artist who began teaching art and inspired others to take them into the wonders of art. Annette works in pastel but also uses acrylic, egg tempera and gold leaf in her paintings to create different effects and textures. Her work is inspired by the natural world and the colours found in nature and she enjoys capturing the essence of landscapes and wildlife as well as people and animal portraiture. She has exhibited her work in galleries together with other artists and in solo exhibitions in Britain. She has completed work to commission and her paintings are held in private collections in the UK, Europe and Australia. She operates with Suffolk Open Studios from 5 Clarence Road, Clare, Sudbury, Suffolk.
