BURROW, Deborah

1971 - ?

Deborah Eileen Burrow was born at Wallingford, Berkshire in 1971, daughter of Henry William Vincent and his first wife Virginia K. M. née Drummond (born 1948), who married at Lothingland, Suffolk in 1969 and Deborah has lived in East Anglia since 1972. Originally a state registered nurse, before becoming a professional musician but in 2008 was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis which prevented her from regularly performing as a musician or returning to nursing. Having been an enthusiastic novice painter, in 2008 she took up as a professional artist. Growing up in the Suffolk countryside with its beautiful landscapes was one of the early influences that she began to capture in her paintings and her current work still reflects this, with her skills and reputation growing. Now a full-time artist, working in acrylics, mixed media and watercolour, Deborah’s peaceful contemporary artworks reflect her love for the Suffolk countryside. She has worked further afield in places such as Northern Ireland and Yorkshire, where she has travelled in 2013 and 2014 to see their counties beautiful scenery firsthand. She has exhibited in Suffolk at Southwold Gallery, Southwold; Frame Workshop & Gallery, Ipswich; Ipswich Art Society; Hunter Gallery, Long Melford; Snape Maltings Galleries; Buckenham Galleries, Southwold; Chimney Mill Gallery, West Stow, Bury St Edmunds and elsewhere including Art Fair East, Norwich; Cambridge Contemporary Art; Blue Tree Gallery, York and Persora, Pershore, Worcestershire. She is currently represented by Cambridge Contemporary Art, Cambridge and Persora in Pershore Worcestershire and is former member of Suffolk Open Studios. The author of 'Whispers of the Landscape' (2016).
