Kimberley Jade Harris was born at Ipswich in 1988, daughter of Stuart Harris and his wife Michaelina I. née Harris, who married at Ipswich in 1987. Kimberley studied Art & Design at Colchester Institute 2005-2007 obtaining a B.Tec National Diploma before working as a commission artist and is also the holder of a Certificate in Marketing. A switch from watercolour to oils was inspired by a local artist David Porteous-Butler who introduced her to the palette knife, adding another signature style which gives depth and texture to her botanical subjects. Kimberley's style and inspiration has developed through a palette knife technique with oils and growing up in the Suffolk countryside with her oil paintings capturing the essence and atmosphere of a location, from the haunting darkness of forgotten and crumbling buildings to an English meadow bursting with colour with emphasis on colour and the effects of shadows and light. She exhibits widely including Buckingham Fine Arts, Milton Keynes, Bradbury Art Gallery, Belfast, Cloud Galleries in Sussex, and is a former member of Suffolk Open Studios from 2 High Street, Acton, Sudbury, Suffolk, she exhibits her work in several local galleries.
