A diamond sorter for IDC Holdings, DeBeers 1972–1991, her career took her into the world of diamonds being transported into the fascinating natural world of crystals and minerals and her profession enabled her to visit many countries where she could see the perfect blue skies of Africa in an aquamarine, or the flash of fire in an opal or a diamond. Linda married at Camberwell, Surrey in 1973, John D. Ellis spending much of her adult life near to the Ashdown Forest in Sussex, and her children grew up using the forest as their extended playground. Linda later moved to the village of Fairwarp in the middle of the Forest. Whilst there Linda was inspired to create pastel artworks to capture the beauty around her but moved to Suffolk in October 2011. An artist in pastel and a former member of Suffolk Open Studios from her studio at the Ancient House, Lower Street, Stutton, Ipswich.
