WHITWELL, Jackie
As Jacqueline Cameron McLeod, she was born at Braintree, Essex in 1948, daughter of Thomas Symington McLeod (1912-2003) and his wife Marion B. née Thomson, who married at Oxford in 1941. Jackie married at Saffron Walden, Essex in 1972, Stephen Roger Whitwell (born 1944), and paints under the name of Jackie Whitwell. Jackie studied on a Foundation Course at The City & Guilds of London Art School, London 2003-2004, gaining a B.A. (hons) degree in Fine Art/Painting 2004-2007. She has exhibited at City and Guilds End of Year Show, London 2005; Stroud House Gallery, Stroud; Jaggedart, Devonshire Street, London and The Art Gallery, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk. She won the Ernest Payne award at Bury St Edmund's Art Society.
