SOLOMON, Arthur William
Arthur William Solomon was born in Lowestoft, Suffolk on 13 August 1912, son of Arthur Wesley Solomon (3 November 1861-1943), a labourer, and his wife Harriet née Read (12 June 1876-1960), who married in 1894 and in 1921 were living at 6 Khantoun Cottages, Lowestoft with five children George 20, Herbert 17, both fishermen, Jack 16 a farm labourer, and Arthur 8 and Reginald 3, all Sufffolk born. Arthur married on 2 September 1935, Ruth Isabel Weavers (25 May 1909-14 April 1995) and in 1939, Ruth was living at Hosanna, Hall Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk, with their daughter Janet (1937-1963), Arthur was on war service. A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists 1977-1984. Arthur William Solomon died in the Waveney district of Suffolk in 1984.
