BEERE, Arthur Howard
Arthur Howard Beere was born at Greenwich, London on 10 September 1898, posthumous son of Thomas Beere (1855-1897), a master butcher, and his wife Bertha née Lock[e] (1862-1944), who married at Woolwich, London in 1892. In 1901, Arthur was living at 1 Wood Cottages, Greenwich, London with his 38-year-old widowed mother Bertha and his two elder brothers, Thomas Francis 9 and Charles Joseph 6. Arthur married at Lowestoft, Suffolk in 1932, Sybil Parker (4 September 1895-1992). His self-portrait is in the Lowestoft and East Suffolk Maritime Museum. Arthur Howard Beere died at 10 Grand Avenue, Pakefield, Lowestoft, Suffolk on 26 July 1970.
