GRIFFIN, Steve Royce
Steve Royce Griffin was born in Ipswich in 1960, son of Graham Royce Griffin (22 December 1924-2006) and his wife Anne E. née Owen, who married at Ipswich in 1959. Steve studied at the Ipswich School of Art 1977-1979 and is an artist of humorous pictures which he puts onto postcards, mugs, and limited-edition prints. He married in the Deben district of Suffolk in 1989, Helen Claire Twaits and they have two sons. A member of the Orwell Art Club, The Ipswich Art Club and the Felixstowe Art Group, also a former member of the Suffolk Open Studios from his studio at Bucklesham, Ipswich and has exhibited at the Reunion Gallery, Felixstowe, also at Art on the Prom at Felixstowe and elsewhere. He is also a book illustrator including David F. Burrows's 'Fish Bone Alley' (2019).
