MacKEN, Norah Elizabeth
As Norah Elizabeth Pocock, she was born at Watford, Hertfordshire in 1934, daughter of Charles Edward Pocock (15 May 1896-19 February 1973), a carpenter & joiner, and his wife Alice Louisa née Robinson (22 December 1898-7 May 1979), who married at Uxbridge, London in 1925 and in 1939 were living at 54 Talbot Avenue, Watford. Norah married at Watford in 1956, Philip John Macken (5 November 1930-2005), a scientist and author. As Norah Macken, she exhibited at Bury St Edmund's Church Walks in 2012 when sixty highly regarded professional artists as well as local artists and students generously donated their work and supported by the School of Art, West Suffolk College with all the proceeds going to St Nicholas Hospice Care. Norah Elizabeth MacKen died at Bury St Edmund's on 16 April 2015, aged 80.
