JOHNS, Beryl Louise
As Beryl Louise Church, she was born at Swindon, Wiltshire on 12 July 1915, daughter of William Francis Church (28 October 1886-9 September 1966), a railway clerk, and his wife Elsie Annie née Picton (28 November 1888-16 March 1960), who married at Swindon in 1912. Beryl married at Bath Road Methodist Church, Swindon on 8 April 1939, Kenneth Richard Johns (29 August 1912-29 March 1993), an assistant schoolmaster, and they had three children. In 1939 they were living at 4 Park Court, Plough Lane, Beddington, Surrey. Beryl specialised in landscape painting and collage and was a member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists 1977-1990 from 2 Cherry Hill Close, Beccles, Suffolk. She also exhibited at Orwell Park School, Nacton, Ipswich in 2001 and elsewhere. Beryl Louise Johns died on 14 October 2015.
