KING, Joseph
Joseph King was born at Ipswich on 20 July 1763 and baptised at Tacket Street, Congregational Church, Ipswich on 26 August 1763, son of Benjamin King and his wife Sarah née Hitchcock. A member and chairman of the Ipswich Society of Professional & Amateur Artists from 1832, where he was tutored by Henry Davy. He was buried at Tacket Street on 9 June 1838, aged 75.
