READ, Kaitlin
Kaitlin Elizabeth Read was born at Ipswich on 14 September 1994. Kaitlin studied Art and Design at Suffolk New College 2011-2013, before going on to Norwich University of Arts to study Fine Art 2013-2017 taking her master's degree. Mostly a self-taught painter, working from her everyday routine with her street photography enabling her to work closely with the urban environment stealing its colours, textures, and traces. Kaitlin Read works in acrylic, black enamel paint, oil pastels, charcoal and drawing inks and sometimes combinations, which provoke the boundary between reality and the unreal though her ways of painting, often experimental, colourful, and expressive, always striving to achieve what she perceives as the true representation of modern life from her photographic resources.
