SHERIFDEEN, Zamrooth Hathoon
Zamrooth Hathoon Sherifdeen was a refugee from Sri Lanka who, having never touched a brush before, was encouraged to take up painting after she arrived in the UK as a way of processing some of her experiences. A business journalist for Associated Newspapers of Ceylon who had lived at 132 First Avenue, Manor Park, London before moving to Ipswich where she studied at University Campus Suffolk 2015-2018 taking a B.A. (hon) degree in psychology and sociology. She has exhibited from Ipswich at Art on the Prom at Felixstowe, Suffolk.
