Matthew Emeny was born at Ipswich in 1975, son of Michael G. Emeny and his wife Anthea née Stoggles, who married at Ipswich in 1974. A self-taught professional artist with his studio at Ipswich who, in 2013 acquired a collection of black and white postcards featuring WWII aircraft. This inspired him to paint his first military aircraft, bringing colour to one of the old postcard scenes which became his preferred painting style. Although he paints a variety of subjects; since turning full time professional he has continued to specialise in military aviation, depicting aircraft found throughout history and today. He exhibits his works at many exhibitions and sells directly to the public with his aircraft paintings available to purchase as limited edition signed giclée prints, from his on-line shop. He also accepts commission projects from businesses and individuals.
