HOTHAM, Misses
Amongst the art pupils of Henry Bright between 1836-1856 were the Misses Hotham of Dennington Rectory, Suffolk. The Revd Frederick Hotham (10 January 1774-10 October 1854) was rector of Dennington from 1800 until his death. He had married on 23 November 1807, Anne Elizabeth Hodges (1778-28 January 1862), daughter of Thomas Hallett Hodges and they had at least ten children including four daughters, which of those were tutored by Henry Bright I have yet to discover. Their brother was Sir Charles Hotham.
1 Anne Hotham (23 October 1804-23 July 1878) who married on 27 Jul 1846, Revd William Barlow, who died on 8 December 1848 leaving issue.
2 Louisa Hotham (4 April 1807-1894) who married on 12 March 1844, Lt Col Patrick Grieve who died on 11 January 1853.
3 Amelia Dorothea Hotham (9 February 1810-24 November 1878)
4 Henrietta Gertrude Hotham (13 June 1821-5 April 1858)
