MIDDLETON, Lady Anne
As Anne Cust Brownlow, she was born on 11 March and baptised at St George, Hanover Square, London on 25 March 1796, 4th daughter of Sir Edward Cust, Bart. and 1st Lord Brownlow (3 December 1744–25 December 1807) and his second wife Frances Bankes (6 August 1756-13 April 1847), only child of Sir Henry Bankes, who married at St James, Westminster on 31 August 1775. Anne married on 22 August 1825, Sir William Fowle Fowle Middleton, 2nd and last Bart. (19 August 1784–2 May 1860) of Shrubland Hall, near Ipswich. As the Hon. Lady William Middleton of Shrubland, was a pupil of Henry Bright during his London sojourn 1836-1856. Anne died on 8 May and buried at Barham, Shrubland Hall on 15 May 1867.
