ASCOTT, Joan Florence
As Joan Florence Earee, she was born at Sudbury, Suffolk on 26 December 1915, daughter of Paul Earee and his wife Ivy Florence née Elliston (10 February 1890-1988). In 1939, an artist (commercial) living at Hill Side, Newton Road, Sudbury. Joan married in 1940 Alan Herbert Ascott (3 December 1915-2000) and they had two children Elizabeth and Stephen. In 1947 she had twenty-five students in her care when Sudbury Evening Institute held an art exhibition at Hardwicke House at Action, near Sudbury. In 2012 Joan Florence Ascott was still living at 1 Newton Road, Sudbury and died St Joseph's Care Home on 2 March 2017.
