IVES, Betty Fisher

Betty Fisher Ives was born at Leiston, Suffolk in 1925, daughter of Herbert Samuel Fisher Ives (12 December 1893-8 July 1963), a retailer of men's and ladies wear, and his wife Muriel Golding Saul (10 October 1901-18 January 2004), only daughter of Henry William Saul of Point House, Palmer Road, Gorleston, who married at St Andrew's Parish Church, Gorleston, Norfolk on 4 September 1922 and in 1939 were living at 63 King George Avenue, Leiston-cum-Sizewell. As Betty Ives, she exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club in 1943, an oil 'Still Life' and in 1944 two oils 'The Dance' and 'Still Life'. Betty married Leiston in 1948, Frank A. Wright from when she painted as Betty Wright. In 2019 the Wright's were living at 134 Hillside Road West, Bungay, Suffolk.
