BENTALL, Anthony Pearton
Anthony Pearton Bentall was born at 13 Roe Lane, Southport, Lancashire on 3 September 1916, son of William Charles Bentall (13 May 1875-16 November 1947), a surgeon, and his wife Ethel Mary née Pearton (3 January 1873-1957), who married at Reading, Berkshire in 1901. In 1939, a medical student, living at Wadhurst, Uckfield, Sussex with his parents. He married in London City in 1940, Dora Marion Gregory (10 July 1913-10 December 1999). Bentall was a doctor at The Norfolk and Norwich Hospital also a painter and a member of the Norfolk and Norwich Art Circle 1947-1983. A painter, in watercolour, of harbours and seascapes and has exhibited at the Royal Society of Marine Painters and locally in Norfolk and Suffolk. Anthony Pearton Bentall died at 69 Newmarket Road, Norwich on 21 January 1987.
