WENDT, Richard

Richard David Wendt was born at Sudbury, Suffolk in 1968, son of David Henry Wendt (1923-27 January 2018) and his wife Catherine A. née Gilchrist, who married at Richmond-upon-Thames in 1966, Richard is a brother of Debbie Wendt. Richard was educated at St Benedict’s Catholic School, Bury St Edmund's and studied Art and Design at Ipswich College of Art and at Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts in illustration and printmaking. An illustrator/designer combining traditional techniques with the new technology now available to illustrators and designers and caters for the individual needs of the client, taking commissions from a varied list of customers both locally and nationally. He works from his studio at 12 Nottidge Road, Ipswich and has exhibited his illustrative work locally, which is available at local retailers such as the MF Gallery & Framing; CoolBeanz Coffee House and LoveOne Gift Shop all in Ipswich and, together with his sister Debbie, has exhibited ‘Wendt on Water’ at Ipswich Town Hall Gallery.
