YOUNG, Lilian Julia

Lilian Julia Young was born in Vineland, New Jersey in the United States of America in 1878. She was the wife of George Young (1875-1935), a surgeon, born in Bucharest, Romania and in 1921 they were living at 1 Cambridge Road, Colchester, Essex with their 17-year-old daughter Zoë Alice Gambier Young (18 December 1903-), who was born at St Pancras, London. As Mrs L. J. Young, a member of the British Watercolour Society and of the Ipswich Art Club 1919-1920, exhibiting from 1 Cambridge Road, Colchester in 1919, two oil paintings 'In the Woods' and 'Willy Lott's House' and in 1920 five pictures 'Trinity Street, Colchester', 'Jap Dolls', 'Lexden Springs', 'St Saphorin, Juritzerland' and 'Buttercups'.
