WARNER, Reginald
Reginald Warner was born at 44 Highbury Park, Islington, London on 15 June 1880, son of Metford Warner (1843-30 June 1930), a paper-stainer, and his wife Agnes Elizabeth Abbott (1844-31 August 1928), daughter of Benjamin Abbot[t] of Thornton Heath, who married at Friends' Meeting House, Tottenham, London on 30 July 1867. In 1881, Reginald was a 1-year-old, living at 44 Highbury Park, Islington with his parents, 38-year-old Metford and 36-year-old Agnes, with siblings Albert 12, Gertrude Mary 11, Horace William 10, Marcus 6, Horace 4, all born in London, and retained four servants. By 1901, Reginald had been apprenticed to the Ipswich Silk Weaving Company and was a 20-year-old silk weaver & dyer, lodging at 118 London Road, Ipswich, the home of the Sparrow family. He married at Walton Parish Church, near Felixstowe, Suffolk on 19 July 1906, Emily Margaret Maw (14 July 1884-31 December 1867), daughter of Thomas Maw of Needham Market, Suffolk and they had one son and two daughters. In 1911, Reginald was a 30-year-old silk manufacturer, living at Roseneath, Melford Road, Sudbury, Suffolk with his 26-year-old wife Margaret and their newly born daughter Joan, they retained two servants. The founder of the Gainsborough Silk Weaving Company Limited in Sudbury and a specialist in woven textiles. Reginald Warner died at Newton Green, Sudbury on 17 February 1932 and left an estate of over £27,000. He signed his works 'Reginald Warner' joined 'd'.
