CLARK, Megan Rose
Megan Rose Clark was born in Ipswich in 1993, daughter of Ashley Charles Clark and his wife Sarah J. née Clarke, who married at Ipswich in 1989. Megan completed a degree in Performance and Visual Art (Theatre) at the University of Brighton, before returning to her hometown in Suffolk. A Suffolk based visual artist, exploring colour, pattern, and everyday objects through her illustrative style with a keen eye for composition, styling, nature, and interiors, all influences her work. Megan’s creative process is currently explored through the mediums of painting and embroidery. She has exhibited at The Garage Gallery, Aldeburgh; MF Gallery, Ipswich; Peter Pears Gallery, Aldeburgh and elsewhere. In 2019 Megan founded Thrive Collective, a small business bringing together other local artists and makers from across East Anglia. The project has seen her launch curated pop-up shops in the region in 2019 and more recently launch their online platform. 'Emerging Suffolk Artisans' group exhibition, Artspace, Woodbridge.
