Perienne Christian

Perienne Christian was born at Hammersmith, London in 1983, daughter of James B Christian. She studied at Bath Spa University and at the Leipzig Academy of Art and was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Drawing School in London in 2006 and is a master's graduate and where she teaches drawing and printmaking. Working as a freelance art tutor she has taught at many art institutions including the V. & A., the Tate, and the Art Academy in London. Perienne has worked as an artist in residence at Kensington Palace, Chats Palace Arts Centre, and Pignano in Tuscany, Italy and she modelled for a painting by the artist Lucian Freud 2008-2011. She has exhibited regularly both with solo shows at Aldeburgh Beach Lookout Arts Club; Labomirov-Easton Gallery, London; cueB Gallery, London; Tobacco Factory, Bristol and her many group shows include at the Royal Acadamy; Buckingham Palace and Christie’s in New York and her work is held in many public and private collections. Perienne is based in Suffolk.
