Mathew C Sant studied at Loughborough University 1995-1998 gaining a B.A. fine art printmaking and his master's in printmaking from the Royal College of Art 1998-2000. Printmaking associate at the Royal College of Art and visiting lecturer before opening his own studio, Mat Sant Studio in October 2003, as a fine art printmaker. Matt exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. He married in the Deben district of Suffolk in 2005 Kirstie Elizabeth Ritchie.
