PENNOCK, Dennis

1930 - 2022

Dennis Anthony Pennock was born in Ipswich in 1930, son of John Anthony Pennock (22 October 1903-17 February 1968) and his wife Dorothy Alice Bromley (24 April 1904-12 September 1978), who married at Ipswich in 1927 and in 1939 were living at 49 Landseer Road, Ipswich. Dennis married at Ipswich in 1951, Doreen Marjorie Marsh (30 January 1933-17 February 2021). Dennis was a musical director of several shows at various venues around Ipswich including at Ipswich Town Hall Gallery in 1972 'Cavalcade of Music' for the 1972 Season of Music and the Arts and other venues included Ipswich Gaumont/Regent, Spa Pavilion at Felixstowe, and others. Dennis was also an artist painting in watercolour and exhibited from his then home at 7 Bladen Drive, Rushmere St Andrew, Ipswich in 1948 'A Suffolk Cottage'. He later moved to Cullingham Road, Ipswich and then to Shotley Gate near Ipswich. Dennis Anthony Pennock died at Ipswich Hospital on 28 April 2022.
