The Tower St Print Project is run by Oyster Community Press CIC, a Community Interest Arts Organisation that delivers printmaking workshops at their studio base in the Tower House, 17 Tower Street, Ipswich. The premises are situated beside the Tower Ramparts bus station with public car parking nearby in Crown Street. At the Tower Street studio, both beginners and those with some experience can find out about different printmaking techniques, under the guidance of an experienced and friendly team. They offer one day Introduction to Printmaking workshops, half day 'Have a Go' sessions and longer courses in a variety of processes to develop creative skills. They also offer team-building days for volunteers and staff and portfolio development days for students preparing for GSEs, 'A' Levels and University entrance. Tower St Print Project is a recognised centre for delivering Arts Awards up to silver level from the Arts Council. Running a year-round programme of classes and courses at the Tower St Print Project, Oyster Community Press CIC also work on community art projects, deliver pop-up workshops, and curate exhibitions. They have launched IpswichPrintweek, a new annual event for Ipswich.
