Julie Jolly was born in Cyprus and has lived and travelled in various parts of the world which has influenced her painting style. Julie attended local art classes in Nayland and, with her husband, has now settled in Polstead, Suffolk where she has her studio. A Suffolk contemporary artist working in oils and acrylics her artistic creativity also comes from a career in hairdressing using her mind's eye to be creative in colouring and cutting. Julie paints a variety of subjects including landscape, abstract, and portraits. A member of Suffolk Open Studios and she has exhibited at Pond Gallery at Snape Maltings Galleries, Ballroom Arts Gallery at Aldeburgh and elsewhere.
