SOUTHPORT SCHOOL OF ART
Southport Technical College opened in 1935 and 1989 changed its name to Southport College. That institution brought together several technical courses which had been offered since 1887 throughout Southport, then part of Lancashire. In 1938 the Southport School of Arts and Crafts was founded, and the two institutions were amalgamated in 1989 to form Southport College. January 2018 saw the merger of Southport College and King George V College.
