SMITH, Stephen
Stephen Smith was born in Suffolk on 16 March 1788, son of Stephen Smith and his wife Sarah née Pittock (born 1767), who married at Kersey, Suffolk on 13 August 1786. Young Stephen married on 13 February 1815, Emma Humphries and in 1841, a 55-year-old artist, living at Barley Green, Stradbroke, Suffolk with his wife Emma, and five children, Stephen 22, Angeline 15, John 12, Joseph 8, Naomi. Noted in Kelly’s Directory 1846 and Stephen Smith died at Stradbroke in 1851.
