WEST SURREY COLLEGE OF ART & DESIGN

1969 - ?

The Farnham School of Art (1866-1969) and the Guildford School of Art (1870-1969) conjoined to become the West Surrey College of Art and Design in 1969. The Epsom School of Design (1893-1994) later merged with West Surrey College of Art and Design (1969-1995) to become the Surrey Institute for Art and Design, University College. In 1995 the West Surrey College of Art & Design merged with the Epsom School of Art to form Surrey Institute of Art & Design. In 2005 the Kent Institute of Art & Design and Surrey Institute of Art & Design and University College merged to form University College for the Creative Arts at Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone & Rochester. In 2008 he University College for the Creative Arts received its University title from the Privy Council and was renamed the University for the Creative Arts.
