STUBBING, Marjorie Bond

1899 - 1983

Marjorie Bond Stubbing was born at Lowestoft, Suffolk on 3 January 1899, daughter of Charles Frederick Stubbing (1862-1 February 1924), grocer, draper, and outfitter, and his first wife Gertrude Emily née Bond (1865-1920), who married at Norwich in 1873, Frederick married secondly in the Mutford area in 1921 Lucy Burgess. In 1911, Marjorie was living at 18 and 19 Tonning Street, Lowestoft with her parents. Marjorie studied at Lowestoft Technical School of Art passing examinations at the National Society of Art Masters in 1915. In 1921 Marjorie, a photographer's assistant at Broughton Photographic in Lowestoft, was living at 19 Clapham Road, Lowestoft with her father 59-year-old Charles, now a credit draper and her stepmother 56-year-old Lucy. In 1939 Marjorie was a photographic assistant living at 36 Waveney Drive, Lowestoft with two other ladies. Marjorie Bond Stubbing died at 8 Halifax Road, Brighouse, West Yorkshire on 9 April 1983, she was unmarried.
