SCOTT, Ernest Robert
Ernest Robert Scott was born on 31 March 1881 and baptised at Bradfield St Clare, Suffolk on 26 June 1881, son of Offord William Scott (1841-March 1885) and his wife Susannah née Reynolds (1848-1921), who married at Felsham, near Bury St Edmund's on 25 March 1869. In 1891, Ernest was a 10-year-old scholar, living at Bury Road, Bradfield St Clare with his widowed mother Susannah, a dressmaker, and siblings Edward 16, Amelia 14, Ada 12 and Ethel 5, all born at Bradfield St Clare. In 1939, a platelayer, living at The Street, Great Barton, Bury St Edmund's, with his wife Ellen Gertrude (26 August 1880-1956), whom he married in 1904. A member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1949-1957 from Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk. Ernest Robert Scott died at Bury St Edmund's in 1959, aged 78.
